THE THROAT/FIFTH CHAKRA: FEAR OF EXPRESSING & SPEAKING OF INNER TRUTH
THROAT/FIFTH CHAKRA LIBERATION
SELF 5 exists through emotions (negative & positive). Train and sharpen your mind to recognize, interact with, transform, transcend, and detach from the negative emotions, actions and interactions. Liberate yourself from them. Thus, when these emotions come in the physical form of people interacting with you and the conditions that play out during those interactions, you can resolve, dissolve, detach or severe from them. Then, and only then, Liberation from SELF 5 can manifest.

THROAT/FIFTH CHAKRA ~ Moving upward into the soul level, from the Heart (4th) Chakra is the Throat (5th) Chakra. It exists at the base of the throat. It is activated at the pit of your throat. The fifth chakra is associated with communication, self-expression, inner truth, and willpower: expressing what we feel, like and dislike. You are entering into contemplation of what truth and honesty are. Opening your throat chakra liberates you to not only understand but take a stand about the concepts and beliefs that matter most to you. It allows you to hear and process what others are trying to communicate to you, letting their words enter your heart chakra, before you consciously speak your own thoughts.
The Fifth Chakra usually becomes distorted and blocked when you have been suppressing and keeping your thoughts, opinions, and feelings to yourself; never getting to express or do what you want; believing you cannot speak up for yourself or ask for what you need; repressing all of your thoughts and emotions; not being able to know who you are; and living from someone else's perspective and beliefs. The negative symptoms are:
Emotional: Anguish over communication , Dislike of the self, Excessive talking, Fear of speaking up, Inability to say 'no' or 'yes', Mental eruptions, Non-assertion, Not accepting of the self, Resentment of authority, Punishment for guilt, Small outbursts of anger, Wanting to hurt someone.
Physical Ailments: Asthma, Bronchitis, Ear Infections, Hearing Problems, Lost Voice, Mouth Ulcers, Mucus Formation, Sore Throat, Teeth & Gums, Thyroid Issues or Cancer, Tinnitus, Tonsillitis, Colds, Stiff neck, Pain in upper arm, Whooping cough, Laryngitis, Hay fever.
MUNDANE REMEDY ~ One can continue to do Prostrations, Sports, Martial Arts, Walking, Running, Tai Chi, or Qi Gong. Focus on yoga poses such as: Matsyasana (Fish Pose), this pose opens your throat, reminding you to cultivate easy communication with those around you. Halasana (Plough Pose), lengthening the back of your neck in the pose can balance the feeling of an overworked Fifth Chakra. Purvottanasana (Upward Plank Pose), this pose stretches your whole front body, allowing you to focus on the relationship between your Fifth Chakra and its relationship to the rest of your physical body. Simhasana (Lion’s Pose), this throat opening breathing exercise helps clear away blockages that keep your Fifth Chakra from allowing you to easily share your thoughts with others.
Blue is the color of enthusiasm, expression and loyalty. Blue is associated with faith, spirituality, serenity, truth, and trust. Blue fruits and vegetables are believed to have many anti-aging benefits and contain vast amounts of health benefits for the muscular and skeletal systems. Blue is the color of choice to soothe pain and suffering. It helps the brain to secrete tranquilizing chemicals. Blue can be used to lower blood pressure, pulse rate, and brain wave activity, and to quiet menstrual cramps. The color blue can also soothe fevers, sore throats, ear infections, toothaches, bee stings, burns, itches, and rashes. It is also used in children hospital wards to facilitate the breakdown of bilirubin in jaundiced babies. Blue colored foods are: Blue corn tortillas, Blue potatoes, Blueberries, Catnip, Cauliflower, Blue Corn, Juniper Berries, Kelp (seaweed), and Pansy Flowers.
MEDITATE on the color of the Sixth Chakra: Indigo, a regal, dark blue-violet. It is the color of inspiration, imagination and peace of mind. You can visualize this color as you meditate. Begin sitting in a quiet place (or even walking if you prefer moving meditation). Focus on indigo light filtering through your crown chakra, through your throat, entering your heart and your body. If you wish, you can repeat the chakra seed mantra, "AH". Sing, chant, or scream out the syllable "AH’ with the energy vibrating vertically from head to toe and into the earth.

Medicine Buddha is one of many Buddhas who have attained the state of perfect enlightenment for the benefit of ALL sentient beings. The enlightened mind has eliminated ALL negativity and perfected ALL positive qualities.
Medicine Buddha's blue sky-colored holy body signifies omniscient wisdom and compassion as vast as limitless space and is particularly associated with healing both mental and physical suffering. Making a connection with him, practicing meditation, reciting his mantra or even just saying his name helps us achieve our potential for ultimate healing.
The historical Shakyamuni Buddha provided teachings on healing and systems of medicine which were collected into four volumes called "The Four Medicine Tantras". These teachings became the basis for the system of medicine practiced in Tibet and other Buddhist lands. They are characterized by a belief that ALL disease is essentially rooted in a psychosomatic cause, namely, spiritual confusion teaches that although there is no beginning point of the root confusions, there can be an end to them through enlightenment. The much confusion may be traced to three main poisons or wrong attitudes, of greed (grasping), hatred (fear) and ignorance (mistaken beliefs). Until the mistaken attitudes are released, ALL other cures are at best, only temporary. His Holiness also teaches that, unlike ignorance, wisdom does have a beginning but no end! Once we do cleanse our beliefs we reach a luminous enlightened mind free of stain which remains eternally so.
In the Medicine Tantras, Shakyamuni describes Medicine Buddha as an enlightened being who has special powers of healing. The special healing blessings of Medicine Buddha may be obtained by reciting his name or mantra. For centuries, Buddhists have been reciting this mantra prayer, to bring an ultimate healing of spiritual disease, as well as cures for everyday problems of the body and mind.
